Student Visa Cancellation Policy

1. Purpose
This policy defines the procedures and conditions for cancellation of student visas for students enrolled at SIMT and specifies the applicable fees.

2. Scope
This policy applies to all students holding a student visa issued for courses or training programs at SIMT.

3. Policy Statement
3.1 Voluntary Cancellation
Students wishing to cancel their enrollment and student visa must submit a written request to SIMT. A non-refundable cancellation fee of AED 700 will be collected at the time of cancellation. The student visa will be canceled upon processing the request and payment of the cancellation fee.
3.2 Refund of Tuition Fees
Any remaining tuition fees, after deducting the AED 700 cancellation fee, may be refunded according to the institute’s refund policy. Refunds will not include any other charges such as bank or transfer fees.
3.3 Termination After Course Commencement
If a student cancels after the course has commenced, the AED 700 cancellation fee still applies. Refund eligibility will follow SIMT’s standard refund rules based on the date of cancellation.
3.4 Compliance
Students must comply with UAE immigration rules and institute regulations. SIMT reserves the right to cancel a student visa without a refund if the student violates visa or institute regulations.

4. Processing Time
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 14 working days after the cancellation request and payment of the AED 700 fee.
